Trace enables clubs to embed their teams' latest goals on their websites to highlight memorable soccer moments.

One of our goals at Trace is to provide youth soccer teams with video they can actually use, whether to improve performance or to share with family or to get recruited by their dream college.

One of the biggest pieces of feedback we received from the clubs that use Trace for recording soccer games was that clubs wanted to feature some of these videos on their website.

So we came up with an easy solution for showcasing game highlights on club websites: Trace “Latest Goals.”

Why Clubs Love to Feature Soccer Game Film

The biggest soccer clubs around the world are using video more than ever before. Clubs like Manchester United and Liverpool are using short-form video to get their communities excited and engaged, so why can’t youth soccer teams harness video to boost their clubs.

Examples of Soccer Clubs Using Video Effectively

Our team at Trace has coordinated with a number of clubs to embed a feed that automatically updates onto club pages. These include New York Surf, St. Croix, and others. Check out some of their dedicated web pages here:

How to Get Trace Video Featured on Your Website

We want to make this as easy as possible. Here's are the simple steps to get your "Latest Goals" added to your team's website.

  1. Reach out to your Trace representative and let them know you’d like an embed code for your club.
  2. Tell us exactly which teams you’d like to feature in the feed. Some clubs choose to feature all their players’ latest goals on one page. Other clubs like to feature all their boys' teams in one feed and all girls' teams in another feed if they are embedding these feeds on different website pages.
  3. Have your website manager insert the HTML script into the desired location on your website. This will take less than one minute for most website managers or social media managers; here are the instructions on how to insert code on Squarespace and WIX
  4. Enjoy your live feed! You do not ever have to worry about updating it. All your teams’ latest goals will feed directly onto your website after each game you film with Trace.

Inserting Your Code into a Squarespace Website

  1. Click an insert point where you'd like to add the video onto your page
  2. Choose "Code" from the Block menu.
  3. Remove the default code from the editing feature and insert the script you received from Trace.
  4. Watch this video if you have any issues.

Inserting Your Code into a Wordpress Website

  1. Select the post or page where you'd like to add a video.
  2. Click the + button to add a page element.
  3. Choose "Custom HTML" from the menu.
  4. Insert the script you received from Trace.
  5. Watch this video if you have any issues.
