PlayerCam is your player's personal camera angle. Trace's PlayerFocus AI finds your player in the full-field game footage and renders a view that keeps them centered through every second they play — created automatically for every player on the roster.

How does PlayerCam follow my player?

TraceCam records the entire field, and PlayerFocus AI — Trace's computer vision system — identifies your player and tracks their movement through the whole game. PlayerCam is the camera view rendered from that tracking.

Do I need to film or tag anything myself?

No. Set up TraceCam on the sideline, hit record, and walk away. Filming, tracking, and editing all happen automatically.

Does every player on the team get their own PlayerCam?

Yes. One TraceCam recording produces a PlayerCam for every rostered player — each family watches the game from their own player's angle.

Can I switch between PlayerCam and the full-field view?

Yes. Switch between your player's PlayerCam and the full-field view at the touch of a button in the Trace app.

What sports does PlayerCam work with?

PlayerCam works with soccer, basketball, and football captured on Trace's camera systems.

When is PlayerCam footage ready after a game?

Once your game footage uploads, Trace processes it automatically and PlayerCams are typically ready to watch within hours — often before you're home from the game.

What do I need to get PlayerCam?

PlayerCam is part of the Trace system: a TraceCam to record your games and a Trace subscription for the AI processing and app. See traceup.com/pricing for current plans.

How does PlayerCam work?

Set up the camera, hit record, and walk away. PlayerFocus AI handles everything else — here's what happens between kickoff and your phone.

Film the whole field

TraceCam records every player, everywhere, all game. No camera operator, no panning, no missed plays.

AI locks onto your player

PlayerFocus AI finds your player in the footage and follows their every move — through traffic, subs, and sprints.

Get their personal cam

PlayerCam renders a view with your player at the center — every minute they play, plus highlights, ready to watch and share.

One camera. Everyone's own cam.

Tap a player — that's their game, from their angle. Every family on the team gets this, from a single TraceCam on the sideline.

Who is PlayerCam for?

Parents, players, and coaches all watch the same game — PlayerCam gives each of them their own way in.

Parents

Never miss their moment

At work, traveling, or on another sideline — your player's full game is on your phone, with them in the middle of every frame.

Players

Watch like the pros do

Great players study their own game. PlayerCam makes film study personal — every touch, every run, from your angle.

Coaches

Development without the scrubbing

Pull up any player's cam and show them exactly what you saw. No timeline hunting, no editing homework.

The fastest way to get better is to watch yourself play.

Wins and mistakes, from the player's point of view. Perfect for visual learners — game film that actually gets watched.

Highlights already cropped for the group chat.

Ever tried editing a clip so your player stays centered the whole time? We do it automatically — social-ready formats, one tap to share.

Real PlayerCams from real games

Every one of these was generated automatically. No camera operator. No editor. Just the game.
