Blackhills FC Partners with Trace to Utilize Complete Game Film System

OLYMPIA, WA + AUSTIN, TX (May 3, 2021) – Blackhills Football Club and Trace Soccer are happy to announce their partnership for the upcoming season. The club will allow multiple teams to utilize Trace’s game film system, giving them the ability to automatically film and edit games, be able to create shareable recruiting profiles with Trace iD, and receive custom Trace Workshops for both players and coaches.

Without the burden of having to edit any full game footage, our coaches will have more time to review game clips, and parents will have all of their child’s soccer moments under one easy-to-access platform.”

James Charette, Technical Director, Blackhills FC

Blackhills FC is a premier soccer club that serves communities in Thurston County, Washington. They have teams in the RCL, NPSL, and SSUL soccer leagues, and strive to develop skillful and competitive soccer players within a team environment.

“Blackhills FC is excited to partner with Trace Soccer,” says James Charette, Blackhills FC Technical Director. “Trace is the perfect video solution for our teams, players and coaches. Players receive personalized playlists right to their inboxes after every game, and can start analyzing their moments to see where they did well or can improve based on their Individual Development Plan. Without the burden of having to edit any full game footage, our coaches will have more time to review game clips, and parents will have all of their child’s soccer moments under one easy-to-access platform. We believe our players and coaches will benefit and enjoy working with Trace this upcoming season.”

Through partnering with Trace, Blackhills FC will be able to provide its players and coaches with tools for consistent development. With personalized Moments created for each player after every game, coaches have the ability to incorporate 1-on-1 film review opportunities and even coaching analysis into their curriculum. Players are then able to save their best Moments to their Trace iD to send to college coaches across the country.
As video becomes more crucial than ever for player development and recruiting, Blackhills FC understands that finding and implementing the right filming solution is key. Not only will Trace provide valuable player development tools; Trace helps clubs with player retention and provides extra exposure to players looking to get recruited, all under one platform. With the average Trace game receiving over 1,600 moment views, both coaches and players continue to find value in the Trace system.
