FC Dallas Partners with Trace to Provide Enhanced Player Development and Recruiting to Girls Academy Teams

DALLAS, TX + AUSTIN, TX (Aug 3, 2021) – Working together for just under a year, FC Dallas Girls Academy and Trace are excited to further their relationship by providing all ECNL/ECRL teams with the Trace game film system for the 2021-22 season. The partnership will provide teams with the opportunity to streamline their recruiting process, improve player development through the use of video, and have access to educational content for both players and coaches.

“We pride ourselves as a teaching and development-oriented club, and we felt this partnership would best benefit our players’ development, not to mention improved recruitability for our membership due to the ever-changing recruitment landscape.

Matt Grubb, Girls Academy Director, FC Dallas

FC Dallas Girls Academy pride themselves on providing members with top-notch resources, opportunities, and assistance, This includes the FCD Way – a collective method of soccer coaching and play; a system that embodies more than just the type of soccer skills and techniques they focus on on the field. It reaches beyond “winning” and instead challenges players to focus on success and fulfillment of both on and off the field achievements.

“We are excited to team up with Trace this season,” says Matt Grubb, Girl’s Academy Director at FC Dallas. “We are impressed with the improvements Trace has made in identifying and individualizing key moments within the game for both players and teams. The improved camera quality, more detailed game analysis, and of course, the speed at which we receive the data and clips, makes it easy for us as a club to choose Trace.

We pride ourselves as a teaching and development-oriented club, and we felt this partnership would best benefit our players’ development, not to mention improved recruitability for our membership due to the ever-changing recruitment landscape. We also know that Trace and our club share a key characteristic, we always want to improve and better ourselves. We know that Trace will continue to evolve and grow to accommodate our club’s needs as we change and grow.”

Unlike traditional systems that require hours of editing by hand, our AI camera and software automatically edits and delivers personalized moment playlists to each player’s inbox after every game, requiring no extra editing time by coaches, parents, or club staff.

Through partnering with Trace, FC Dallas will be equipped with the most advanced technology for game film analysis to give players and coaches the tools to improve more rapidly. Personalized tools within the Trace system include:

Personalized moment playlists are sent to player’s inboxes after every game, and can be utilized for 1-on-1 coaching sessions, allowing coaches to create custom development plans for each player.
GPS sensor data allows each player to receive individual player metrics for each game. Coaches and players can view core metrics like Top Speed, Distance Ran, Minutes Played, Stamina, and Max Efforts.
Trace’s real-time, national Leaderboards are a great way for players to receive extra recruiting exposure, as college recruiters are utilizing them to find undiscovered talent.

As video becomes more crucial than ever for player development and recruiting, FC Dallas is committed to providing it’s teams with new and innovative ways to reach college coaches.

Trace iD, Trace’s own recruiting platform, allows players to create the ultimate highlight reel and take control of their own recruiting process. Players simply select their best match moments, add them to their Trace iD, and seamlessly share the playlist link with college coaches across the country. It’s how one ECNL player managed to secure a spot on a D1 College Soccer team amidst the pandemic.

“With FCD as a leader in player development, our goal is to give parents, fans and coaches an easier way to understand and fully commit to FC Dallas’ unique development process. Trace will be there to support them every step of the way.”

David Lokshin, CEO of Trace Soccer

“We are excited to partner with FC Dallas for the upcoming season,” says David Lokshin, CEO of Trace. “With FCD as a leader in player development, our goal is to give parents, fans and coaches an easier way to understand and fully commit to FC Dallas’ unique development process. Trace will be there to support them every step of the way.”

By collaborating with Trace, FC Dallas now has the tools to foster development for both players and coaches, increases player retention within the club and provides additional exposure to recruiting-age players, all under one platform.

FC Dallas joins over 100 other clubs and organizations that have partnered with Trace for large-scale adoption within their organization.
